18.10.2015: Urban breed ready to rock Europe with Serious Black!

Only two more weeks until Serious Black enter the stages of Europe again. After playing some festivals in summer they will be on tour with Gamma Ray. Check out all the dates in the tour section.

Furthermore, next year they will have their first show in USA, in Atlanta at ProgPower XVII (9.-10. September 2016).

And by this time they might even have released another album. Let's hope so!

Another tour in fall 2015!

Serious Black will support Gamma Ray on their European tour in October, November and December 2015. Furthermore, they will also support Kamelot at two special club shows in July in Germany. Check out all the dates in the tour section.

Bad news, good news...

Bad news: it is sad to read that Roland Grapow will no longer be part of Serious Black. The succuess of Serious Black makes the band members want to more concentrate and focus on this band. Roland however can't be part of Serious Black and his other band Masterplan without restrictions. Thus, they decided to part ways. Good news: A replacement for Roland is already found in Bob Katsionis who helped out on the Tour with Hammerfall. He did an outstanding job and seems to be a great match personally as well. So, welcome to Serious Black, Bob!

21.02.2015:

Listen To The Storm...

The first tour of Serious Black is over now. They supported Hammerfall on their European (r)Evolution Tour along with Orden Ogan. Though hardly known by the Hammerfall fans they rocked every crowd and gained a lot of new fans. A big thanks to Ramy Ali and Bob Katsionis for filling in and replacing Thomen Stauch and Roland Grapow who have both health issues. They did an outstanding job, also considering they only had a few days to rehearse and learn the songs. Serious Black will be back on stage on several festivals this summer.

It  is written in German and contains four parts, the fourth part will be online within the next few days. Furthermore, there are a lot of live videos available on youtube. You can check out one of them below. Enjoy!

Urban will head down to Bulgaria today to play some gigs with Project Arcadia in early March (see Tour section for more details).

Furthermore, Urban's revamped official forum will be up again soon. In fact, it is up again already, but not working properly yet.

New bass tabs online!

Serious Black are currently on tour with Orden Ogan and Hammerfall. On their FB-page you can find tons of photos and even a cool video featuring 3 songs live!

In the meantime I have completed a few bass tabs that you can find here. They are far from being perfect, but not too far away either and at least something to start from. If you have any comments or corrections, please let me know, it'd be much appreciated.

Serious Black - debut album is released today!

The debut album of Serious Black is released today (in Europe). In the meantime a lot of raving reviews  can be found online, so now it's your turn to check it out to judge if they all are right. I guess they are. :)

Also the tour with Orden Ogan and Hammerfall starts today in Bremen. In case you haven't already, check out the tour dates here. Unfortunately both Roland and Thomen won't be able to play the tour due to illness... sad but true. They will be replaced by Bob Katsionis (Firewind) and Ramy Ali (Freedom Call). You can find the full post of Thomen here. So, get well soon guys!

Another side note: Urban's forum currently cannot be reached but will be back up shortly, we are working on it!

Serious Black - High And Low: new song on Friday!

On Friday, Serious Black will release the video to the next song of the forthcoming debut album As Daylight Breaks. So check back here and/or the FB-page of the band to find the link to the video.

Happy New Year!

First of all, a Happy New Year to all of you out there! Next Friday, on 09.01.2015 Serious Black will be live on air from 21.00 to 22.00 on www.rockfabrik.at.

In the meantime you can also check out the Christmas present we got from the band: an album teaser for As Daylight Breaks. Listening to it really increases the anticipation!
